Effects of Medicinal Plants Extract with Antibiotic Free Diets on Broilers Growth Performance and Incidence of Muscles Abnormalities

ABSTRACT The objective of this research was to investigate the effects a natural herb extract1 (HE) on general growth performance and incidence muscle abnormalities (white striping wooden) broiler chicks. A total 504 one-day old chicks (Ross 500) were used in experiment randomly partitioned into 3 treatments with 7 replicates each (24 per replicate). Three experimental diets (C: regular feed; T1 T2 (supplemented HE at levels 0.20 0.30 ml/L, respectively). herbal extract supplemented drinking water. Feed intake, body weight feed conversion ratio monitored days 14, 28 42 feeding trial. Moreover, yield visceral organs, carcass cuts, evaluated different ages slaughter (34, 41and 48 days). Results showed that weights, ratios (FCR) dressing percentages (DP) increased (p<0.05) birds compared control birds. However, supplementation had no significant cuts some organs. Meat quality improved by as white stripping (WS) WS plus wooden meat cases dramatically reduced, particular 34 age, day slaughter. It can be concluded has positive broilers performance, efficiency quality.
